Crazy weeks

Dear Reader,

The last few weeks have been … crazy. Along with quite a lot of bad news globally, I have been busy like crazy. Thus, it was much appreciated, when I stumbled upon a collection of tweets, that made me grin, smile, or chuckle.

Passing along a few of them, I hope to brighten your weekend a bit:

and finally, fitting for the internet:

Have a great weekend,

  1. Welcome back.
For a moment, I was worried that there was an EREXIT.
Mr and Mrd Druid visiting me in Vienna. Cannot stay longer as more drinking and eating to do :-)

  2. Thanks for those ER. Wondered where you disappeared to. Let me contribute to the silly lines…

England has no kidney bank, but it does have a Liverpool.
Jokes about German sausage are the wurst.
I know a guy who’s addicted to brake fluid, but he says he can stop any time.
This girl said she recognized me from the vegetarian club, but I’d never met herbivore.
Why were the Indians here first? They had reservations.

Changing the subject, I hear that The Peaky Blinders are a big hit in the US (another great BBC show) and that in New York blokes are coming out of barbers with copycat hair cuts. Can you confirm? It is rare that we Brits blow our own trumpets about the past (unlike the US), but this show is a challenge to that ethos, with a third series due out soon.

    1. Sorry, Philippa,
Neither have I heard of Peaky Blinders,
nor do I know the corresponding hair cuts.
I do not own a TV.
